there is beauty still around,
hiding in so many places
waiting to be found.
Teach me how to look, Lord,
teach me how to see
all the wondrous treasures
in this world for me.

hide the jewel of a smile;
it is there to be discovered
waiting all the while.
Teach me how to look, Lord,
how to persevere
for the friendly spirit
that can be so near.

open wide my eyes

goodness in disguise.
