9 Court Packing Scheme Supreme Court had recently ruled two New Deal reforms “Unconstitutional” In 1937, he tried to add 6 new justices to the Supreme Court This weakened FDR and basically put an end to any future New Deal legislation

Southern whites Blue-collar workers Poor farmers African Americans Changed voting patterns of African Americans Gave Democrats the majority in both houses of Congress (this lasted )
