2 CS4HS Teacher PD addresses the need for teacher professional development in a given area by providing funding to universities and educational non-profits for the development and execution of rigorous CS teacher professional development. Created in 2008, CS4HS continuously evolves to incorporate the latest research and address major gaps in new and continuing teacher education with a focus on scalability. 2016 programs are in person, online, and blended models that have a new or established Community of Practice (COP) for continued engagement. Created in APCS Course

4 Applied Computer Science with Android is a Google initiative to help university students understand and apply computer science concepts using the Android platform. Created for university students at the junior and senior level, this flipped classroom boot camp gives students hands-on coding experience. Focusing on Data Structures and Algorithms, content is fully developed and delivered by Google Engineers in partnership with university educators.

6 igniteCS is a Google initiative that supports groups of college students who want to make a difference in their local communities through computer science mentoring. Created to address retention issues of women and other underrepresented groups, igniteCS provides funding of up to $10,000, resources, support, and industry mentors. Eligibility requirements include: At least 5 undergraduate students Connection to women in computer science student group CS/CT mentoring component Local faculty advisor Ongoing mentorship (more than a one time event)
