Persian King Darius III offers peace to Alexander. Alexander denies it.
Conquers Persia treasuries in 330 B.C.
Conquers India in 327 B.C.

5. Hellenistic Culture
As he conquers territory, Alexander builds cities he names after himself.
There he spreads Hellenistic culture, which is Greek culture.
Greek language, art, architecture, and religion spread wherever he conquered
Creates the learning center of the world in Alexandria, a lost city in Egypt.
Alexandria had the world’s largest library.
