10 Who Will Manage the Career Portfolio?
Students are primarily responsible for completing and updating their career portfolio. The portfolios can be stored in the guidance office or homerooms. Students, teachers, parents, and counselors will have access to the portfolios. It is important to realize that as the career portfolio evolves, things may need to be purged as they are no longer appropriate. The student may update, revise, or rearrange the organization of the portfolio depending on the intent or purpose for which it is being used. The career portfolio is a reflection of whom the student is and should be tailored to highlight the strengths and achievements most relevant to the situation. One student’s career portfolio may focus solely on technical careers whereas another’s may reflect mostly higher education plans. 12/9/2018
