Visual and Textual Note-Taking Why do we use it? When you connect the visual to the textual, research proves that you remember. What does it look like? There’s no right or wrong. You find what works for you, but combine visual and textual ways of noting your information.

ABC Mind Maps For each chapter, you’ll be creating a mind map that helps you note the key ideas, themes, character moments, quotes, etc. You will have some required info, which will be given to you. The rest will be up to you to fill in the blanks. You will turn in all of your mind maps at the end of the book for your reading grade.
