He is believed to have bean born on Crete, which is an island in Greece.
His father Cronus swallowed him and his siblings, and his mother Rhea hid the newborn in a cave in Crete.

4. Something interesting regarding his father swallowing his siblings
In order for his siblings to be released from his fathers stomach he fed his father a special herb which caused him to disgorge. (Disgorge: meaning to poor out)

5. Why I chose this topic
Zeus was brought to my interest when we were reading the odyssey, which was when he lobbed a lightning bolt at Odysseus's boat.
I chose this character because I thought that it’s interesting that he is capable of controlling the weather.
