5 In the lab… Test your unknown substance. Record your results.
Pick up your own trash…do not leave your used litmus paper on any lab table. At your station, use the blue and red litmus paper. If your blue litmus paper turns red, it’s an acid. If your red litmus paper turns blue, it’s a base. Test your unknown substance. Record your results. Decide if the substance is an acid or a base. Make a prediction. Find its true identity.
