1 Sea Cucumbers

2 Shaped like soft-bodied cucumbers.
Invertebrate Echinoderms—like starfish and sea urchins. 1,250 known species Shaped like soft-bodied cucumbers. Ocean dwellers, and live on or near the ocean floor—sometimes partially buried beneath it.

3 Internal Adaptations Structural Adaptation:
Musculature primarily consists of longitudinal and circular muscles controlling their movements Basic circulation - coelomic fluid is distributed through the body cavity, or coelom. They breathe through what are known as "respiratory trees," Branching organs that distribute water drawn in by the opening of the sea cucumber's cloaca

4 Defense Adaptations Behavioural Adaptation:
Some whip about with uncharacteristic vigor when confronted with a predator. Some extrude masses of adhesive white threads from their anuses to entangle attackers (or parts of their own internal anatomy) May be re-grown if the sea cucumber survives the encounter (both a behavioural and structural adaptation)
