Industry Credentials / Certificates

2 Choose Strand “C” - Certifications
From the home page, choose Strand C - Certifications from the “What Strand” dropdown list. Then choose any checklist view, such as Checklist 1C, and click to continue to Step 2. In Step 2, choose what students. Use today’s date, which is filled in by default, or specify a date when the credentials were earned.

3 Review the list of credentials
Please look at the list of credentials. The list should include the names of any credentials that the students have earned (or that you might pursue in the future). It is okay if there are extra items that you don’t need. The list should use the proper or commonly-used name of the certificate, using language that you would use on a resume. If you need to update the list of credentials, you can either: -- Do it yourself on the Curriculum Map screen -- Or Jennifer Leonard at with the name of your program and school and a list of credentials you would like to add or remove or rename.

4 Enter “4’s” for “Attained Credential
While we use a scale of 1 to 4 for the regular CVTE Framework strands, we use just a “4” for attained credential for the ‘Strand C’ certificates strand. Enter a 4 for each student who has earned the credential.

5 [Updating the list of credentials]
To update the list, click on “Curriculum Map” on the navigation bar and then “View/Edit List of Certificates / Industry Credentials” There is a box at the bottom of the page to ADD a new item, and there are options for removing and renaming items. Instructions are at the top of the screen.
