Your sense of audience influences three key elements of your writing:
The specific information you use to gain and keep the attention of readers and to guide them to accept your conclusions
The role you choose to play in relation to your readers (depending upon your purpose and your attitude toward your topic, you will want readers to perceive you in a certain way)
The tone you use (depending upon your aims and what you think your readers will expect and respond to, your tone may be formal or information…the attitude you convey may be serious or light, etc.)
