4 Hamlet: Socratic Seminar
Once we finish Hamlet, we’re going to have a class Socratic Seminar discussing themes found in Hamlet. For the next two days, you will prepare responses using textual evidence (specific references or direct quotes) for three of the discussion topics (on the other side of this page). On Monday, we will hold a Socratic Seminar to discuss all six topics. You will be expected to contribute to at least two discussions, and support at least two of your statements/analyses with a piece of textual evidence. Even when you are not contributing in the discussion, you will be expected to listen and take notes. At the end of our seminar, you will write a short reflection on one of the discussion topics you didn’t prepare a response for.

IXL for the week: J.8 and K.1 Goals for the Day: Begin writing your prep notes for your three chosen discussion topics. Try to have at least one done by the end of the day. Note: These do not necessarily have to be in complete sentences – you can use bullet points if you like. However, you do need to respond to each part of the question in detail. For your two most compelling arguments, you need at least one piece of supporting textual evidence (direct quotes are preferred). That means your notes on each topic will need at least two supporting quotes. Good luck! 
