1. On Tuesday, March 8, 2016 L’Anse Creuse residents will be asked to vote on The Non-Homestead Millage Renewal Election.

2. What is non-homestead property?
Non-homestead property refers to commercial, business, rental properties, vacant land and second home properties.
By law, school districts must levy 18 mills on such property in order to receive its full pupil foundation allowance from the state.

4. Why do we need this Non-Homestead Renewal
Why do we need this Non-Homestead Renewal? The authorized Non-Homestead Millage for L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is scheduled to expire in 2016.
Without a renewal, our per pupil funding will drop to the lowest in the county and result in a $14 million annual loss to the district’s operational budget.
