Individual and Team Activities
INDIVIDUAL:- performed by one person. - Some individual activities can be performed ‘totally alone’ I.e golf, jogging. -Some are ‘on your own’ I.e badminton, tennis. TEAM:- a number of people working together. -A team may be 2 people (ice dancing) or many (rugby union).

In pairs, write down 4 individual activities (2 ‘totally alone’ and 2 ‘on my own’), and write down 4 team activities.

Competitive and Non-competitive Activities
COMPETITIVE - a contest involving 2 rivals. Each rival tries to win. - DIRECTLY COMPETITIVE - you have a direct influence on what your opponent does. - INDIRECTLY COMPETITIVE - you do not affect your opponents performance. NON-COMPETITIVE - performers take part for self-satisfaction.
