2. I will not hide my candle in the darkness of the night but offer it to strangers who curse this blazing light.

3. If we could light one candle how bright this world would be and love would be transformed now between both you and me.

4. I will not curse the darkness but raise my hope on high and raise this blazing candle that burns deep in my heart.

5. If you are sad and weary then lift your candle high and let these flames surround you and heal your broken heart.

6. Why do I fear the darkness, the surffering or the pain, and condemn myself in sorrow where I know there is no gain?

7. If I could raise my candle towards friends both far and near, I’d find such peace and comfort my tears would disappear.
