Today sees 2000 attendees from the four Summit forums – Youth, Women, People and Business – come together to share food and friendship and celebrate their commonwealth connections with a Commonwealth Big Lunch.
, Ghana kicked off the Commonwealth Big Lunches with an event hosted at Konkonuru School attended by 400 school children and local leaders. We’ve seen events in almost every Commonwealth Country so far:
45 of the 53 nations officially registered to take part
Over 600 lunches are planned in Commonwealth countries so far
Around the same number again are being planned in the wider world with over 130 countries worldwide registered
Hundreds of lunches taken part already from schools and community groups to presidential residences and embassies across the Commonwealth
