Independently read pp. 3-8 to better understand what staff, School Leadership Teams and principals will be asked to do following the professional learning sessions
Outline questions and areas where more clarification is needed

Focused around two of the four topics
Tier 1 Reading Systems
Grade-Level Problem Solving

Access the document titled, “Preventing Tier 1 Reading Barriers.”
For each of the common elementary-level barriers, identify if you believe it will be a potential barrier in your schools by circling yes or no
For each barrier you circled yes to:

Tier 1 Secondary Content Area Reading Strategy Instruction: 1 day to start then additional content area reading strategies will be introduced to teachers / staff when data indicates readiness
