Presentation on theme: "Student Involvement – turning students into Shockers"— Presentation transcript:

1 Student Involvement – turning students into Shockers
Students who spend time on campus outside of class have a better student experience than those who do not. Consider joining one of the 200+ student groups on campus. Visit to find academic clubs that currently exist in addition to special interest, cultural, social and other organizations. Did you know WSU has a Leadership Certificate program? Find more information at Fall 2018

2 No time to join a student group?
Use your time wisely on campus between classes. All campus connections contribute to your success. Form a study group and study in the Library C-Space. Workout at the Heskett Center. Hangout in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (RSC), Adult Learning (GW Annex), or the Military and Veteran Student Center (GW). Bring your lunch to eat with friends in the RSC or other student lounge. If you are already involved in another type of organization (community, religious, etc.), consider taking on a leadership role. Being in a leadership role makes you more marketable to potential employers and makes your application stand out among others for graduate programs, scholarships, etc. Fall 2018
