rules the world!”

3 Godly parents invest their lives to training up their children.
Hannah was making the investment in Samuel to give him as a living sacrifice. Godly parents invest their lives to training up their children.

4 Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

5 Godly parents invest their lives to training up their children.
Hannah was making the investment in Samuel to give him as a living sacrifice. Husbands, let’s support our wives to follow after God’s leading in their lives. Godly parents invest their lives to training up their children.

6 Godly parents give their children to God.
Samuel would have been at least 3 yrs old. As the first born was to be redeemed by a sacrifice! Godly parents give their children to God.

7 Exodus 13:11-13 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee, 12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD'S. 13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

8 Hannah had trained Samuel and now was giving him to
be a living sacrifice to the Lord.

9 Hannah kept her vows to the Lord!

10 Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

11 God never forgets what we promise to Him!

12 1 Samuel 15:22-23 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

13 The SUCCESS of a godly parent!
Vs 28b who is “he?” “Him” and “he” – Is Samuel. The SUCCESS of a godly parent!

14 3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

15 2 Timothy 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

16 They were Bible believers. As a result, so was their son.
Hannah and Elkanah followed the law when they came up to worship and paid their vows to God over their child Samuel. They didn’t just talk a good talk, but then live for themselves! They were Bible believers. As a result, so was their son.

17 Eli’s sons knew the Word
A sad contrast: Eli’s sons knew the Word but did not live it.
