3 Time Keeper and the Database
High Level View

4 Time Keeper aka Server Master Database Master Database Contains:
Current and Past Event Information Member Data (Class/Number) Available Classes

5 Active Clients – Loading Data
Master Database Registration Car Queuer Database Copy Database Copy This means that the clients don’t ACTIVELY try to get new copies of the master. So that’s why we refresh the browser on the car queuer between rungroups. If you have a conflict in registration, you also may need to reload first. Cone Counter is also an active client, but it doesn’t need to be reloaded. As drivers are queued, they’re automatically pushed to the Cone Counter. Upon Loading or Browser Refresh, each Client makes a quick copy of the master database.

6 Active Clients – Writing Data
Master Database New/Modify Member Modify Car Queue List Registration Car Queuer Database Copy Cone Counter is also an active client, but it doesn’t need to be reloaded. As drivers are queued, they’re automatically pushed to the Cone Counter. Database Copy Each action done on the Clients is written back to the Master Database. A new copy is made of the master and sent back to the Clients.

7 Passive Clients Master Database Announcer Live Results Database Copy
Live Results an exception as it always queries the server for new data These only receive data. In terms of operating the event, they are unimportant.
