1 Treasure in earthly clay

3 Visit to the potter’s house
Jer 18:1-4 18:1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: 2 "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message(Reveal to me at my level)." 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

4 Lessons Wheels are symbolic of the circumstances and situations that life brings our way.  Life often times seems like a large circle.  It seems that we just get past one trial when here it comes around again.  These things are hard to take and leave us confused and burdened, but we must remember that the Potter controls the speed of the wheels and they only rotate according to His will.  Never forget that God is still in control, regardless of what you are facing in life, and that all things are eventually going to work out to your good - Rom. 8:28; 2 Cor. 4:17

5 lessons His Hands - While the clay spins around on the wheels, it is never out of contact with the Potter’s hands.  He is in constant contact, molding, shaping and bringing the clay along through His loving guidance. If he were to ever remove His hand, the clay would spin right off the wheel and would be lost.  Therefore, he remains there with the clay and brings along until it become what He desires it to be.

6 The potter is in control
The clay, as it is taken from the ground, is worthless.  It must be transformed into a useable state and this is a process that takes time and energy on the part of the Potter. My life is spinning in control of God's hand. Everyone who came in and out of my life was in God's control.  My circumstances control my wheel and my spinning. The potter always has something in his mind as He puts the clay on the spinning wheel.

7 The potter is in control
His thoughts are good towards me. Time is the usher that helps us measure our effectiveness. How much have I changed with all the spinning in my life? -> people coming and going, pains, failures, disappointments, successes etc. I need to be contented in whatever situation am in Isaiah 64:8 (NIV) 8 Yet you, Lord, are our Father.     We are the clay, you are the potter;     we are all the work of your hand

8 The potter is in control
The vessels was marred in the hand of the potter. Adam was perfect in the hand of the potter. From the fall of Adam to coming of Jesus, man was marred in the hands of the potter. What do you do when what you see in your mind is not what you find in reality? The potter made the same vessel again another vessel. Only the master can make it another.

9 The potter is in control
I am the same but another. He made me another. The potter does not put clay on the wheel without something in His mind. 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation ; the old has gone, the new has come! There is a great change in the way I walk, talk, think. When all is said and done, it will be for my benefit.

10 The potter is in control
Until the potter has tried my vessel with fire, you will never come forth like gold. Sometimes through the storm, I see like the whole world has changed and the fire keeps getting hotter as the potter is shaping the clay but Jesus knows what He is doing. Isaiah 29:16 (NIV) 16 You turn things upside down,     as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it,     “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”?

11 The potter has secured my future
Whatever I was born to do, God finished it first. My future existed before my present. All the days were written before i was born. Psalm 139:14-15 (NIV) 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;     your works are wonderful,     I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you     when I was made in the secret place,     when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

12 The potter has secured my future
Isaiah 46:10 (NIV) 10 I make known the end from the beginning,     from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand,     and I will do all that I please.’ My future is trapped in me and God has committed to it. God will finance the investment He has put in me.  God is my source. My resource is waiting for me! Too much wealth is waiting for me in 2016. Some of the best things will happen to me in My future is more valuable than my past because it is not lived.

13 The treasure of Potter’s light in our bodies
2 Cor 4:6-7 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned;  struck down, but not destroyed.

14 Awaiting the New Body 2 Corinthians 5(NIV) 5 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven not built by human hands.  2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, 3 because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

15 Let us say My life is spinning in control of God's hand.
The potter does not put clay on the wheel without something in His mind . I have the treasure of God’s light in my earthly vessel. I have an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. God has committed to my future that is secured in me. Whatever I was born to do, God finished it first.
