Career and College Promise - Dual Enrollment Courses at Wake Tech - (Juniors and Seniors) Career and College Promise, or CCP, allows eligible high school students to take college courses at Wake Tech. It’s sometimes referred to as dual enrollment. These courses can be transferred to any 4 year public college in the state! In order to participate in CCP at Wake Tech, the first step is for the student and a parent/guardian to attend a mandatory information session with Wake Tech the semester before they plan on taking courses. Without attending this information session, the student will not be able to participate in the program. The student and parent will receive important information and required documents/forms at this session. September 26th they will be at Apex High at 6 pm in the Auditorium. The programs offer general education courses as well as elective courses in areas of interest.  Wake Tech – Transfer Pathways -

10 ASVAB – Career Exploration Program
ASVAB Career Exploration Program –Oct 19th The ASVAB Assessment (Career Exploration Program) will be given at Apex High School October 19th. This is the only free opportunity to test aptitude in different Career Areas. The score on this assessment can be used for military entrance, but even if the student has no plans/desire to go into the military, the information you get from the results is a valuable resource in career planning for every student. I am going to generate a report for each student who takes it with their aptitude scores, Holland codes for interests, and which careers match those interests and skill-sets! ECU’s site gives some great info as an example : The residence of a person is presumed to be that of the parent(s) or legal guardian. In order for a person to be considered separate or apart from their parents, they must have the capacity of establishing a legal residence (domicile) in North Carolina on their own.
