Energy that bonds atoms together in all objects
–released when bonds are broken in chemical reactions

Energy that holds the nucleus of all atoms together
–released when nucleus is split or fused with another
–most concentrated form of energy in the universe

Energy in an object due to a change in shape
Examples:

12. Two States of Energy
Kinetic Energy – energy that is active, currently doing something. Anything in motion.
-waves, electrons, atoms, objects
Potential –stored energy (inactive)
–anything that has the possibility of releasing energy has potential energy

15. The Law of Conservation of Energy
Energy can’t be created or destroyed, it can only be changed.
What does this mean?
We don’t make energy, we just change it to a form we can use!
Energy is constantly changing its form!
