Nottingham 37 day blockade
Renewal of S&C in conjunction with the re-signalling of Nottingham as part of the EMSR 37 day blockade
This is another stage in the ongoing collaborative working between Track Delivery and IP Signalling
The materials costs are broadly the same under either delivery model (about 50% of the cost stack).
Contractor delivered works for sites contained within the blockade are 62% cheaper following tender compared to the RT24 unit rate contract.
Total cost of the Track delivered element within the EMRS project has reduced from £19m to £12.6million
37 point ends of S&C, 22 abandonments and 2.6 miles of track will be renewed.
