3. interventions
Strengthen focus on climate change adaptation and mitigation
Environmentally sustainable energy solutions and environmentally sound land management
Promotion of sustainable use of natural resources such as forests, land, water and marine resources
The aim is to secure biodiversity and ecosystem services for increased resilience, poverty alleviation and development
Promotion of reduced pollution of air, land and water
Promotion of circular economy through instruments, incentives and technical solutions that contribute to climate neutral and resource efficient development

4. Somalia support
Support to ongoing UN Joint Programme for Sustainable Charcoal Production and Alternative Livelihoods
Draft new strategy for development cooperation with Somalia awaits MFA approval
Suggested areas of support: peaceful and inclusive communities; human rights, rule of law and human security; environment and climate sustainable development; and health
Consultations with select stakeholders done and operationalization strategy for E&CC developed
New support to PPDP for renewable energy skills training and women economic empowerment
