The first missionaries’ tales of a rich, fertile land attracted settlers Up to 1,000 people per year made the 2,000 miles journey to start a new life

5 The Mormon Migration Mormons moved west seeking religious freedom
Blazed their own trail from Independence, MO to the Great Salt Lake
