3 A. Definition - rate of the forward reaction equals the rate of the reverse reaction
- a.k.a. dynamic equilibrium

4 B. LeChatlier’s Principle
1. Definition - when stress is put on a system, the system will move to relieve that stress;

5 2. Concentration - a change in concentration is a stress
- if a species is increased, the system will move in the opposite direction to consume the added species - if a species is decreased, the equilibrium will shift in the direction of the substance removed to “make more” increase Reactants ( = decrease Products) will shift  increase Products ( = decrease in Reactants) will shift 

8 3. Temperature - most reactions are endothermic or exothermic
- heat can be thought of as a reactant or product and follows same rules as concentration 4. Volume – AP Chem
