As disciples we must realize that many will harden their hearts to Jesus.

1 A Hardened Heart Seeks to Silence Truth

Mark 3:1,2 And He entered again into a synagogue; and a man was there with a withered hand. 2 And they were watching Him {to see} if He would heal him on the Sabbath, in order that they might accuse Him.

Luke 6:6 And it came about on another Sabbath, that He entered the synagogue and was teaching; and there was a man there whose right hand was withered.

Matt. 12:10 And behold, {there was} a man with a withered hand. And they questioned Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath ?”

2 A Hardened Heart Is Self Serving

Mark 3:5 And after looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

Mark 3:6 And the Pharisees went out and immediately {began} taking counsel with the Herodians against Him, {as} {to} how they might destroy Him.

Matt. 12:11,12 And He said to them, “What man shall there be among you, who shall have one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it, and lift it out? 12 “Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! .....
