5 What is the learner profile. Why is it important
What is the learner profile? Why is it important? It’s the IBO mission statement translated into a set of learning outcomes for the 21st century. IB learners strive to be: Inquirers Knowledgeable Thinkers Communicators Principled Open-minded Caring Risk-takers Balanced Reflective The attributes of the learner profile express the values inherent to the IB continuum of international education. It provides a long-term vision of education.  Thus, it is a set of ideals that can inspire, motivate and focus the work of school and teachers, uniting them in a common purpose. Erindale Secondary School teaching and learning is rooted in the learner profile.
