3. Adding And Subtracting Matrices

Adding and subtracting matrices are only possible if the dimensions of the matrices are the same. Both matrices A and B are 2X2. Therefore, they can be added and subtracted.
Add and subtract corresponding entries of the two matrices.
A-B = [[ 1 5 ] [[ 3 7 ] [[ ]
[ 4 2 ]] [ 1 5 ]] = [ ]]
A11 – B11 = 1 – 3 = A12 – B12 = 5 – 7 = -2
A21 – B21 = 4 – 1 = A22 – B22 = 2 – 5 = -3
