2 Purpose of this Study The growth of data intensive science and the introduction of federal grant agency data management and sharing plans has changed the way science is conducted (Tenopir et al, 2014). This has led academic libraries to establish programs to assist researchers in the management of research data, including providing critical infrastructure, storage resources and support in the area of data management plans, curation and stewardship (Heidorn, 2011; Tenopir, 2011; Borgman et al, 2015).
