1 Lesson 7.1 How do you solve systems of linear equations by graphing?
Graph each equation. Use slope and y-intercept Use intercepts Locate the place of intersection. Identify the coordinates of the ordered pair. Check the solution algebraically.

2 Lesson 7.2 How do you solve systems of linear equations by substitution? Solve (rewrite) one of the equations for x or y. Using the equation that has coefficients of 1 is easiest. Substitute the rewritten equation into your second equation for either x or y. Take your answer and plug into the rewritten equation to find the second answer. Write your final answer as an ordered pair.

3 Lesson 7.3 How do you solve linear systems by eliminating a variable?
Add or subtract the equations to eliminate one variable. Solve the resulting equation for the other variable. Substitute in either original equation to find the value of the eliminated variable. Write your final answer as an ordered pair.

4 Lesson 7.4 How do you solve linear systems by multiplying first?
Multiply one or both of the equations by a constant so you can eliminate a variable. Add or subtract the equations to eliminate one variable. Solve the resulting equation for the other variable. Substitute in either original equation to find the value of the eliminated variable. Write your final answer as an ordered pair.

5 Lesson 7.5 How can you identify the number of solutions of a linear system? The slope and y-intercept can tell you the number of solutions. Different slopes means one solution. Same slope with different y-intercepts means no solution. Same slope with same y-intercepts means infinitely many solutions.

6 Lesson 7.6 How do you solve systems of linear inequalities in two variables? Graph each inequality in the system. Using a different color for each inequality may be helpful. Identify the region that is common to all the graphs of the inequalities. This is the solution of the system.
