The problem:
It has been observed in Mexico that most of the teachers who work with children lack of the needed specialized training to teach young learners.
The main research objective is to investigate what the competencies that children language teachers are requested.
Research questions:
What teaching competences should language teachers develop for teaching English to children at CIEX?
How can teachers develop their teaching competences when teaching children?
Which teaching competences are useful to develop communicative competences in children?

Context: English courses for children at CIEX, Chilpancingo, Guerrero.
Participants: Five teachers who work at CIEX, teaching English to children (6 to 9 years old).
Research approach: Qualitative.
