2. Safety Rules
Always obtain teacher’s permission before conducting an experiment.
Study the procedure. If you have questions, ask your teacher. Be sure you understand any safety symbols shown on the page.

4. Use the safety equipment provided for you
Use the safety equipment provided for you. Goggles and aprons must be worn at all times when using chemicals.

5. Always slant test tubes away from yourself and others while heating.

6. Never eat or drink in the lab, and never use glassware as food or drink.

7. Never inhale chemicals
Never inhale chemicals. Do not taste any substance or draw any material into a tube with your mouth

8. If you splash a chemical on your skin, ALWAYS wash it off immediately with water. Notify me as soon as possible.
If you spill a chemical on the lab bench, Always dilute the spill with Water.

11. Keep all materials away from an open flames
Keep all materials away from an open flames. Tie back long hair and refrain from wearing loose clothing.

12. If a fire should break out in the classroom, or if your clothing should catch on fire, notify the instructor immediately.

16. Report any accident or injury, no matter how small, to your teacher.

17. Always speak softly when in lab, otherwise you or your lab partner may miss important instructions.
Do not wear your best clothes on lab day, they may get ruined!
