1 Federalism 10th Amendment

2 Class discussion Each individual has a poker chip and at random will be asked to share at their response/position. Chips will be drawn to give people the opportunity to share their perspective or to pose their open-ended question to the class. Process continues through all four issues.

3 Instructions Use the links to watch each video and answer each question in detail in your notebook. Also write up one open-ended question for each video. You will need your responses and questions for a classroom discussion.

4 The 10th Amendment The Tenth Amendment is the Constitution's clearest endorsement of federalism: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the People.”

5 Federalism is a political system in which power is divided and shared between the national/central government and the states in order to limit the power of government. Both subject to the Constitution
