2. What are Virtues?
Virtues are attitudes and habits that make us likely to do what is good and avoid what is evil.
The nature and benefits of a virtuous life are summed up in the Beatitudes.

3. Hope
Hope is the virtue that keeps us searching for true happiness, which is God.
Jesus’ death and resurrection are the foundation of Christian hope.
Hope keeps us from being discouraged by helping us believe in things we cannot see.
Hope is nourished through prayer.

4. Faith
Faithfulness is the virtue that encourages us to involve God in our lives.
Faith helps us maintain and develop our relationships with God and with other people during the good and bad times.
If we develop this virtue, we will be more likely to choose what is good and right even when it is hard.

5. Love Love is the most basic of Christian virtues.
We must approach every situation with a loving attitude so we can make the choices that God wants us to make.
Jesus’ unconditional love is our model for loving others.
