2 Building A Digital Library
Using the locally stored objects from Assignment #3 as the content, build a digital library Keep your A3 directory / URLs intact; don't remove content to populate your DL (make separate copies if needed) Build your own DL or install and use an existing package

3 Some Popular DL/Repository Systems
Eprints (at least partially installed on your VM; some assembly required) DSpace Greenstone CDS Invenio Fedora (powerful, but may be more involved than you desire)

4 Grading Your DL to the class list by 11:59PM May 3 URLs for your DL this URL must remain valid & operational until May 8 Criteria: general searching fielded searching browsing of all objects in collection browsing by categories (subject, authors, year, etc.) permalinks / individually addressable objects machine readable export (OAI-PMH or Atom/RSS) Grading for each of the criteria above: 0 = not functioning or not existent 1 = functioning, but lacking some quality (features, usability, aesthetics, etc.) 2 = exemplary & fully functional

5 In Class Demo 1 point for in class demo during our regularly scheduled exam time, May 3 Requirements Each student has 6 minutes for demo, lessons learned, etc. DL must be reachable from the class room PC (i.e., no magic laptops)
