2 U.S. Activity Before the war broke out American opinion toward Germany was already more negative than any other country in Europe. The U.S. Navy got larger. War preparations were minimal. Germany decided to resume all-out submarine warfare. Germany offered a military alliance in Mexico. Germany sank our ships. U.S. declared war on austro-Hungarian empire. U.S. sent supplies to Britain. We lost approximately 100 ships.

3 Why US Wanted To Stay Out
It kept America separate from the war and it was a strong ideology. america was never an official ally in WWI. We didn't want to lose soldiers. Following the Monroe Doctrine of neutrality. Crime against civilization for the U.S. to go in. We needed to stay out of Europe's land if they stayed out of ours.

4 Monroe Doctrine U.S. policy regarding domination of the American continent in It stated that further efforts by European nations to colonize land or interfere with states in North and South America would be viewed as acts of aggression. U.S. couldn’t take Europe's land vice versa.

6 Sinking Of Lusitania “How many ships were lost?” - 100.
May 1st. the ship departed from New York City. May 7th The ship was near the coast of Ireland when a torpedo fired by the German submarine “U20” slammed into her side. Sinking of it killed 114 americans and 1,924 total. It sank within 18 minutes. u.s blamed Germany for the sinking. because the ship was carrying ammunition. however this research wasn’t configured until years later.

What is the Espionage act of 1917? What was the sedition act of 1918? The espionage act of 1917 was a United States federal law passed On June 15th, 1917, shortly after the U.S entry into WWI. It has been amended numerous times over the years. It was originally found in title 50 of the U.S. code, but it is not found under title 18 (crime). The sedition act of 1918 was an act of the United States congress that extended the espionage act of 1917 to cover a broader range of offenses, notably speech and the expression of opinion.

On April 6th,1917 the U.S. joined its allies, Britain, France, and Russia, to fight in WW1. Under the command of Major General John J. We were under the Triple Entente which included the Russian, French, and British empire.
