1 Catalyst Pitchback Energy Efficiency as a Service

2 Problem Statement As a Building facility manager I need to be able to manage and transform operations of my building portfolios So that I can monitor energy, optimize consumption and enhance sustainability To do this I need to have easy and real-time access to all of my building portfolio data I know that I am successful when I can save energy costs and make my portfolio green

3 Problem Significance/ Market Drivers
Why is this an important problem to solve? Energy efficiency as a service - Worldwide energy consumption is expected to grow 56 percent between 2010 and Commercial energy rates are increasing 3-5 percent annually. To cater to this challenge, we have developed and deployed a solution and a business model to cater to the Building facility managers. The goal of this service is to Make it easy and fast to transform building operations data to generate performance improvements that save money, enhance sustainability and drive employee productivity. The tenants of the business model include minimum capital investment upfront, immediate cash flow benefits via energy savings and reduced complexity of managing building portfolios. The key features of the solutions offered as service include Energy analytics, Energy monitoring, Lighting efficiency, HVAC efficiency, Plug load monitoring and solar energy monitoring. The key proposition includes Centralize data, improve visibility, track usage & drive valuable insights for operational efficiencies Generate savings by implementing schedule based control and optimize energy spend (10-25%) and Data driven control for improving performance across the building portfolio and save money (15-40%)

5 Why energy efficiency as a service?
Portfolio wide visibility over utility costs and performance Need to track energy related KPIs System for tracking ROI of efficiency investments across the portfolio Prioritization of energy project funding Energy spent ranking in list of expenditures Enterprise wide energy management platform that the entire team is on Need to make and sustain commitments around energy, sustainability Report to benchmarking programs like Energy star portfolio, CDP etc. Tying energy management goals to employee performance and mgmt. Business challenges in managing energy and reporting Need to track utility bills using manual and / or automated processes Using a utility bill management solution, but reporting capabilities limited Need to automate energy star portfolio manager process Need to have sub-metering infra that is tied to a BMS or cloud solution Need to know energy consuming drivers Need to have interval data analytics to help identify efficiencies Need to have occupant / tenant management solution for real time performance tracking A set of common themes we hear from facility managers, energy managers and building owners

6 Making it easier and faster to transform building operations data Performance improvements that save money, enhance sustainability and drive employee productivity

7 Energy Efficiency Services
Energy Efficiency As A Service (EEaaS) – Business Model to realize energy efficiency, manage facilities and improve operations Worldwide energy consumption is expected to grow 56 percent between 2010 and Commercial energy rates are increasing 3-5 percent annually* Increasing energy consumption and cost resulting in rise in adoption of energy efficiency solution and energy management software to reduce consumption/cost As-a-Service could Double Energy Efficiency Market by 2025 Lighting as a Service Market worth Million USD by 2021 Energy Monitoring Lighting Efficiency EEaaS Business Model EEaaS Energy Efficiency Services Minimum or No Capital expense Reduces Complexity of Management Energy Analytics HVAC Efficiency Immediate Cash Flow Benefits Improves Energy spend & cuts cost Solar Monitoring Plug load Monitoring

8 A broad set of features to support energy monitoring and management
Get started Energy Monitoring Drive efficiencies Energy optimization Data driven Improve performance Proposition Centralize data, improve visibility, track usage & drive valuable insights for operational efficiencies Drive savings by implementing schedule based control and optimize energy spend (10-25%) Data driven control for improving performance across the building portfolio and save money (15-40%) Key features Central building data Advanced analytics Dashboards Broad data integrations Peak demand insights Schedule based control for HVAC Lighting Occupancy based control for Energy monitoring services Energy management services

9 We are looking for champions and participants
Facility management company (s) as champion : Opportunity to lead the ecosystem in developing a solution and business model. The champion company brings customer access, knowledge base and operational inputs Participants can be various technology vendors, communication service providers, field installation and service companies
