2. John 14:1-6  "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2  In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4  And where I go you know, and the way you know." 5  Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" 6  Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

3. FOUR BASIC ELEMENTS TO SURVIVE

4. INTRODUCTION
Science says that we need at least four basic elements to physically survive.
Water
Air
Food
Light
Jesus provides those same four things for us to spiritually survive.

5. HE IS THE LIVING WATER
John 4:7-15  A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." 8  For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9  Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10  Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." 11  The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12  Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?" 13  Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14  but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." 15  The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."

6. HE IS THE LIVING WATER
John 7:37-39  On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." 39  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

7. II. HE IS THE BREATH OF LIFE
Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Job 33:4  The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
John 1:1-4  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2  He was in the beginning with God. 3  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

8. III. HE IS THE BREAD OF LIFE
John 6:35  And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:48-51  I am the bread of life. 49  Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50  This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

9. IV. HE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
John 8:12  Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
Matthew 5:14-16  You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

10. WE CAN & SHOULD SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
1 Corinthians 15:34  Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
2 Timothy 2:2  And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
WHAT EXCUSE COULD WE MAKE FOR NOT SHARING JESUS SO THEY CAN HAVE SPIRITUAL LIFE?

11. WE CAN & SHOULD SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
We can share the water of life
John 4:14  but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
John 7:38  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

12. WE CAN & SHOULD SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
We can share the breath of life
Acts 17:24-28  God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25  Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27  so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'
We can tell them how to become His offspring.

13. WE CAN & SHOULD SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
We can share the bread of life
Matthew 4:4  But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "
John 6:63  It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
2 Timothy 2:2  And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

14. WE CAN & SHOULD SHARE JESUS WITH OTHERS
We can share the light of life
Matthew 5:14-16  You are the light of the world. Philippians 2:14-16  Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15  that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16  holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
