In your debate groups
Continue planning for the class debate by answering the following questions
Will your group be using a set order or flexible order? If a flexible order, how will you decide the order during the debate? (You will have very little time for this)
Will you appoint a group leader? If so, who? If not, how will you make decisions during the debate?
What is one speaking point that each student can cover? Which rhetorical appeal would be dominant here?
What is one source that each student can use to support their speaking point? (you should identify a title, author, and website for each student)
What will you say in the opening (for pro side) or closing (for con side) part of the debate? Who will be responsible for that part?
What are 3 speaking points you will share with your opposing side? (Note: you can be somewhat general rather than very specific here)
