2 1. How many times maximum can a person perish?
Two times: Perish of the soul Perish of the body 1. How many times maximum can a person perish? Who can make body perish? God and Human b. Who can make soul perish? God c. When does the soul start perishing? When mankind sin 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

3 Jesus was raised 2. Who can interrupt the process of “body perishing”?
God in Christ (When Jesus returns) a. What is the proof that God has the ability to interrupt the process of “body perishing”? Jesus was raised (Resurrection … Body bypass decay to life) 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. … 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when He comes, those who belong to Him. (I Corinthians 15:17-18)

4 God (baptize by the Holy Spirit)
3. At what point does a person’s soul stop perishing and transition to new life? believe in Son of God a. What is that transition point is called? born again b. Who can re-birth the soul or spirit? God (baptize by the Holy Spirit) 35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. (John 3:35-36) 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” … 5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. (John 3:3-5)

5 at the last trumpet (Christ returns)
4. At what point does a person’s body stop perishing and transition to new life? at the last trumpet (Christ returns) a. Why we need new spirit and new body? to be immortal and incorruptible (everlasting life in kingdom of God) b. Can a person who lived a good life go to heaven? Does he/she have incorruptible spirit and incorruptible body? 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. … 55 “O Death, where is your sting? (I Corinthians 15:50-55)
