Basic Industry growth – Business that’s built on external market revenue generation. I.e. Sells products outside local market and brings revenue into community. Example: Corning-sells fiber optic cabling worldwide Non-Basic – Utilizes revenues already existing within community and continues to turn over. Examples: Retail/service etc.
