Using the information from your research (homework), the info provided and your own general knowledge, bullet point all the reasons why female crime rates may be increasing.

6 The Chivalry Factor There is evidence that women are treated more leniently than men, by the justice system For example for: all males charged with offences in 1993 82% were found guilty 18% were cautioned all females 60% were found guilty 40% were cautioned If women are convicted they are less likely to go to prison and if sent to prison they tend to receive shorter sentences. WHAT SORT OF THINGS DO YOU THINK MAGISTRATES MIGHT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHEN SENTENCING WOMEN?
