Natural events are not caused by humans. They include things like volcanoes, floods, storms, etc.
Natural events can have a range of impact on ecosystems – from minor to huge.

3. Recovery can be immediate, or take decades or centuries (full cycle of secondary succession)

4. Natural phenomena can have positive AND negative effects on ecosystems
Weather-related phenomena = when a change in the climate causes a change in the species that survive (warmer winters, hotter summers, etc); or when extreme weather events have major impacts on ecosystems.
