Nationalities To tell what country, state, or city someone is from use: subject + ser de + place To ask for this info use: ¿De dónde + ser + subject ¿De dónde es Ana? Ella es de Bolivia.

3 Nationalities You can also use an adjective of nationality to tell what country someone is from. The adjectives agree in number and gender with the person or noun they modify.

Most adjectives end in “-o” and will have four forms: o, os, a, as Rule # 1: Normal Adjectives (alto) Singular Plural Masculine mexicano mexicanos Feminine mexicana mexicanas

Adjectives that end in “-e” or “-a” only have two forms. They don’t change from masculine to feminine. Rule # 2: Two Form Adj. (inteligente) Singular Plural Masculine canadiense canadienses Feminine
