2 IEEE 802.22 WG Status Report – March 2006
Received 10 initial proposal presentations at the November 2005 plenary in Vancouver, BC Received revised (and merged) proposals at the January in interim in Hawaii Since then, further mergers have occurred and two proposals have been formally withdrawn, resulting in two remaining merged proposals “on the table” for WG consideration at the March 2006 plenary WG adopted revised work plan/schedule at the January interim in Hawaii, calling for downselect to one proposal and confirmation attempt at the March 2006 plenary Carl R. Stevenson, WK3C Wireless LLC

3 March 2006 IEEE WG Goals – March 2006 Goals for the March 2006 Plenary Session WG election of officers as required by P&P (nominations at opening WG plenary Monday afternoon, election at a mid-week WG plenary Wednesday morning) Final presentation and Q&A on the remaining two proposals Downselect to one proposal If necessary – understanding as of March 01 is that merger talks between the remaining two merged proposal teams continue – if merger to a single common proposal occurs, a downselect obviously would not be required Seek 75% WG confirmation of baseline for a 1st Draft Seek candidates for WG Technical Editor(s) Previously identified WG Technical Editor unfortunately had to cease 802 participation due to change in employment/sponsorship situation Carl R. Stevenson, WK3C Wireless LLC
