The sun is made of burning gas like helium and hydrogen. It is a gigantic star and it is over than 100 metres wide. It can fit millions of Earths inside of it. It takes around eight minutes for it’s light to reach Earth while the moon only takes around 1.3 seconds. It is so hot it can melt metal. It is the centre of the solar systems.

3. Mercury
88 Earth days is the amount it will take to orbit the sun. That means one year on it. And it is the second planet with the hottest degree.
Mercury is the nearest planet to the sun. It is the smallest planet in the solar system. 59 Earth days equals one day on it. It can reach up to 800°. It is the planet that takes the least time to orbit the sun and no other planet is faster than it.

4. Venus
It rotates in a different direction from most planets
Venus and Earth are often called twins because they are kind of the same size.
Second planet from the sun. It is the slowest rotating one. 243 days it takes to orbit the sun. It is 900° and it is the hottest planet in the solar system.
