One parental allele goes in each spot around the outside of the Punnett Square. The offspring are inside the square – two alleles in each box.

To fill in the Punnett Square, copy each male parent allele into each box to the right.

To fill in the Punnett Square, copy each male parent allele into each box to the right. Copy each female parent allele into each box underneath it.

The generations of parents or offspring are represented by numbers and letters: “P” represents the parental generation (one male parent, one female parent). F1 represents the first filial generation (the offspring of the P generation). F2 represents the second filial (if you mate two F1 offspring).
