2 Higher & Foundation tiers available
We offer two GCSEs to Y11 GCSE Maths Higher & Foundation tiers available Sets 1, 2, 3, 4 usually: Higher tier Sets 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 usually: Foundation tier Tiers reviewed regularly, final decision made in early 2019 Level 2 Certificate in Further Maths Usually suitable for set 1 students only

3 High expectations – no excuses!
Maths Homework Students are set a weekly past exam paper Will take around 90 minutes to complete Compulsory, after-school catch-up sessions if homework is not submitted on time or is of an unacceptable standard High expectations – no excuses!

4 Maths Equipment Students need to arrive fully equipped with a scientific calculator every Maths lesson. Students need a full set of maths equipment at home in order to be able to complete the weekly homework tasks Calculators can be purchased through SQUID Other maths equipment can be purchased in the department from your child’s Maths teacher at break or lunch time

5 Exam information Mock exam dates: Paper 1 and 2: week beginning 19/11/2018 Week beginning 25/02/2019 Final exam dates: Paper 1: 21/05/2019 Paper 2: 06/06/2019 Paper 1: 11/06/2019

6 Revision Materials Available on SQUID: Revision guide Workbook Exam practice questions Ensure that the correct tier of entry is selected, ask your child’s Maths teacher for advice if you are unsure about this.

7 After - School Support Thursdays in the Maths department: 3pm - 4pm Help with homework Support with revision plans Although your child’s teacher may not be ‘on duty’ there will always be several staff members available to help with Foundation and Higher tier questions
